For the past few years I have been working in the education field as technologist. I am more of a Swiss army knife. I spend any amount of time on any of the following: helping students and teachers learn to use technology, maintain a network of 1500+ users and 600+ computers, producing videos for instructional use and reset the occasional password. There is more where that all came from. Before the Ed Geek, I was a technology and music teacher and before that I taught musical theater. I have lived the geek life outside of work as well. I explored it with a short lived production company that put out several short films and video projections. I won few contest including a an instructional video on internet cookies and Sprint commercial that put me in a national ad campaign (well, I was fuzzy and in the back ground but I was there). I have currently been blogging on my own site, Funkee Munkee Land, for nearly four years and created a new site for Orlando Diabetics on the Insulin Pump. I have also blogged for the Orlando Sentinel as the Colonialtown representative. I am also UCF graduate and resident of Orlando since 1994. I have been active in the community through my neighborhood association as president for the previous four years.
